NOURISH

So often my friends and clients ask me, what do you eat? How do you maintain your weight?

My answer is always simple, always the same. I eat foods that nourish and build, that heal and restore, that detoxify and cleanse the bodies systems. Rarely ever in my home will you see pantries filled with boxes or cans of food, the same goes for the freezer. I choose instead to shop every couple of days keeping fresh living foods that are grown locally as possible and in season.

Before this though I make it a point to understand just what my the body needs... I'm talking nutrients and calories. If you don't know this basic information, planning a good diet for yourself and your family will be a constant uphill battle. In addition to these things it is essential that you read not only "nutrient facts" labels but also "ingredients" labels and sometimes its necessary to do even more research in order to discover the source of the ingredients that are in your foods.
